Advent Antiphons: December 24th

Behold, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son into the world.     Cf. Galatians 4:4

Only in the fullness of time would He come.  Only in the fullness of time will He come again in all of His glory.  Only in the fullness of time will this exile of ours, away from our heavenly homeland, come to an end.  Only in the fullness of time will our particular trial, or difficulty, or frustration finally cease- not a second before.

God’s plan is always better than ours, and His timing is always accurate. Christmas could not come one minute later, nor one minute sooner.  It was, and is, and ever shall be, precisely as it needs to be in His grand order of grace.  May He be forever praised.
